As I was watching some TED videos the other day, I came across this one on employee motivation. Its really cool, and possibly paradigm shifting if we simply believe that all it takes is more money to motivate employees.

It goes into what sort of jobs where money is a good motivator, and what sort of jobs where offering more money is actually an ineffective motivator (and can even be a distraction to the job getting done). Here is the video:

When you think about what Daniel Pink talks about it makes it so obvious, however its very profound and simple. Have you thought about how you reward your employees based on the tasks they are doing? This video definitely gives you a lot to think about and test out.

During Christmas dinner, we were talking about work, and how working hard is easy when you are truly inspired and feel good about what you do.
